Great team! We had talked with a few mortgage companies before being referred to Patty and her team. They started work for us on a Saturday and were processing our loan application on a Sunday to get us moving along quickly. Our builder directed us to Patty Newby and her team and so of course we trusted him. Patty was always there to answer and concerns or questions and believe me there are always those especially when its the first home every you have owned and or built! I would def recommend them to anyone and everyone.

It pains me to have to leave a not so positive review, but for those out there looking, I believe it is only fair to share my experience and allow those reading this decide whether or not Patty and her team are the best option for you. First off let me say: she and her team are all very pleasant and kind people. And Patty herself is very knowledgeable. Now moving forward, the facts: 1. Things were over promised and under delivered. - despite promising me and getting pre approval, rates changed late in the process and I was charge a full point to keep what we had initially agreed to. 2. Poor coordination -Multiple emails with multiple different people within her group. That is fine, however there is no coordination between the right-hand in the left-hand. Therefore there were often duplicate emails asking for the same documents. All of this adds to delay and frustration. In their defense, I believe one of the employees was let go during the process. 3. The whole closing process for me took over 65 days. -There were some delays due to things out of Pattys teams control. However I have over an 820 credit score, and the pure nature Of the teams relationship with the underwriter causes an abnormally exhaustive process I have never experienced. 4. Not fully disclosing terms. -I'm sure I am somewhat liable for this as there was probably in the FinePrint somewhere within the 1000 documents you'll have to sign. However one of the tactics that the team uses his to start a line of credit to make up whatever closing costs balance the buyer prefers (i.e. 20% down vs 5% down) I am a physician and therefore had special options open to physician loans which would help with a lower down payment to start. The loan that she structured brought in an outside of line of credit that is non tax deductible. This is a huge negative as one of the big benefits for home buying is the tax benefit. Unfortunately, I discovered all this after it was too late. The thing to be aware of as you move forward with any mortgage process is that once you get the ball rolling,you are committed with that mortgage broker. Therefore it is imperative to pick someone you trust and know will carry out what they promised you at the start. Two of my own physician colleagues have had to move away from using this team because of the amount of curveballs thrown within the process. All that being said I wish her team the best and ultimately I ended up using and closing on my home with her team.

We worked with Patty Newby and her team and they where FANTASTIC. They helped us so much and made us feel completely comfortable with the whole process. The explained everything to us in detail and if we still didn't understand they would go through it again. I honestly felt like I was talking to a good friend then someone I had never met before. We went from wanting to build to changing to purchasing and she was with us every step of the way to make sure we could get exactly what we wanted. I couldn't have asked for better people to take care of us and get us into our new home. I would recommend her to anyone. Thank you Patty!!
